Honey Locust Tree Trimming Project in Herriman, Utah

The Tree Service Job

This honey locust tree trimming Herriman UT project began when a local homeowner was facing a serious safety hazard due to a mature Honey Locust tree growing directly next to their house. Massive, heavy lateral limbs had completely overextended, hanging dangerously low over the residential roofline. In the event of high winds or severe storms, these limbs were at extreme risk of snapping and causing catastrophic structural damage to the roof, gutters, and siding. On top of that, a heavy accumulation of interior deadwood was compromising the tree’s overall health and structural integrity.

How We Handled It

The professional crew at Diamond Tree Experts stepped in to mitigate the hazard before any damage could occur. One of our skilled climbing arborists scaled the tree using advanced rigging lines and strict safety protocols to navigate the high canopy. Because the targeted branches were positioned directly over the structure, we utilized precision cutting and controlled lowering techniques to piece out the heavy wood, ensuring zero impact on the home below. We performed a comprehensive structural crown pruning, cleared the roofline to establish a safe buffer zone, and thinned out the interior canopy to eliminate the hazardous deadwood.

The Result

The residential property is now fully secure, with an optimal clearance buffer between the roofline and the tree’s canopy. Thanks to Diamond Tree Experts, the Honey Locust is significantly lighter, better balanced, and structurally sound, allowing high winds to pass safely through the thinned-out branches. The homeowners now have total peace of mind knowing their investment is protected, while the tree itself is in a much healthier position for sustainable future growth.
