MULCH

Salt Lake City Mulch

As a green waste facility in Utah, we not only accept green waste from other tree companies, landscapers and residents in the community, but we also recycle the green waste into mulch products, making our process completely sustainable.

We offer both natural and colored mulch products for sale to contractors and to the general public.

Our natural products come in three different sizes–coarse, medium and fine.

The colors we have for our colored mulch are Chocolate, Dark Brown, Black and Red.

The dye we use is water soluble and completely safe for the environment.

All of our mulch products are allowed to sit and are turned often so that the decomposition process can begin and all of the harmful microorganisms and weed seeds are removed.

Our mulch is clean from any lumber, pallets, or treated wood. This means you can use it without worrying about harmful chemicals. It makes your garden a safer place for your plants and family, with a natural product you can trust.

Our organic mulch is finely shredded, which helps it stick together. This forms a protective layer that’s great for your garden. It stops erosion, keeps the soil moist, and creates the perfect space for plants to grow.

Our mulch is made locally in Salt Lake City by grinding clean green waste material through our tub grinding machine.

As the material begins to break down, it goes through a pasteurization process which kills weed seeds and eliminates pathogens that cause plant disease.

Organic mulches bring many benefits to your garden and yard. They help with weed control, keep moisture in the soil, and offer nutrients to your plants. This can make your green spaces healthier and more beautiful.

Weed Control

Organic mulches are great at keeping weeds away. They form a barrier on the ground that stops sunlight from getting to weed seeds. This keeps weeds from growing, so you don’t have to weed as often. That means more time enjoying your garden and less fighting unwanted plants.

Retains Moisture Which Creates Water Savings

One important benefit of organic mulch is it holds moisture in the soil. This layer slows down evaporation and lowers the water that runs off. Organic mulch keeps the soil damp, helping your plants while saving water. This leads to big water savings in your garden.

Compost and Its Nutrient-Rich Advantages

Compost works wonders as organic mulch. It’s filled with organic matter and essential nutrients that your plants need. As compost breaks down, it feeds the soil with these nutrients. This creates a fertile place for your plants to grow, leading to vivid flowers and more produce.

Overall, organic mulches are a great choice for your garden and landscape. They tackle weed growth, help retain soil moisture, and enrich the soil. This turns your outdoor area into a haven for thriving plants.
